Dreamatchers helps set up a "circle of support" for individuals referred to the project.

Stages of Developing a Circle

  • Make a referral to the Project.
  • The co-ordinator will arrange to meet you and tell you what a circle of support is.
  • (Relationship Map) Who is in your life – now and in the past?
  • Who do you want to invite to join your circle?
  • Help can be given to draw up invitations – inviting them to your first circle meeting – How, when, where to meet?
  • Person Centred Planning Tools can be used to help you dream about how you want the future to be.
  • An action plan will be agreed – sharing out tasks amongst the circle members
  • It is important to offer hospitality and have fun!
  • Celebrating achievements.
  • Commiserating when things go wrong.
  • The project will help the circle to dream some more and create opportunities that will allow people to get to know each other really well by offering circle facilitation.
  • It is important to keep going - don't get stuck Circles Around Dundee can help.
