The
The Theme for the day was 'Friendship'. The Programme included the following items: - - The Story of Circles Around Dundee by Carina Mitchell
- The First Circle Story by Laura Morrison - Breakaway Groups and Open Microphone Session - Buffet Tea and Birthday Celebration - Mosaic Dance Group and Disco The event was very well attended by about 120 people and we were delighted to welcome Alan Baird, Director of Social Work, Shona Robison MSP and other professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to attend. Everybody involved really enjoyed themselves and really appreciated the Reiki and Therapeutic Massage sessions. Thanks to Helen Bell and Sheila French for generously providing these sessions. Thanks also to Sharon & Jill from Fair Play training for providing the Face Painting, Badge Making and Paper Crafts which the children loved. Our special thanks to Andy Smith and Claire Cummings for doing a wonderful job in chairing the Gathering and to Radley Geekie who lent us his technical wizardy. Also to Gail Ingram and Teresa Anderson for providing all the catering which went down a treat - people were even asking for the recipes! A highlight of the evening was the performance by the Mosaic Dance Group which was spectacular, many thanks to them and to Raymond Phillips for providing the following Disco. A big thank you to Laura Morrison for telling her story which was very moving and to Alex McGill from the British Red Cross for organising First Aiders for the event And finally a big thank you to ASDA, Tescos, Tesco Nightshift Social Fund, PDQ, Just Balloons, Marks & Spencers, Lidl and Somerfield Stores who all gave donations for the day.
