The Autumns

....

Rosie's Story

Rosie was referred from a Head teacher who had concerns regarding her communication being a barrier to her being socially included by her peer group at school. Dreamtime then visited the school to raise awareness of friendship, inclusion, gifts and talents. With Rosie and her family's agreement, a circle of friends was set up at her school, which meets every week.

The Autumns are an all-singing, all-dancing, fun-loving circle of friends, as you can see from the photographs!

The children who volunteered to be in her circle of friends said

‘I want to be friends’
‘I want to help her make more friends and support her’
‘I want to help her and play with her and support her’
‘I want to keep her company when she’s down and have more chances to get things right’
‘If she needs help you can help her’
‘To share things’
‘When she has no-one to play with – play with her’
