We will set up partnerships between volunteer befrienders from the local community and people with learning disabilities and/or autism who are particularly isolated and vulnerable and who have significant support needs. The aim is for the volunteers to provide a link to the community, decrease social isolation and increase the confidence of the focus person.
Volunteer Befrienders will receive training and will be supported by the Volunteer Coordinator.
