Claire first joined the Circles team as
a facilitator for the Dreamcatchers project
in 2004 at the same time Claire gained
a part-time post at Dundee college lecturing
in Social Care where she remains teaching
part time. Claire has been working with
people as a care practitioner for 20 years
in a variety of settings. After a change
to the Dreamcatcher team Claire returned
to Dreamcatchers again as a part time
facilitator in October 2007.
During her varied career Claire has
developed a firm belief that everyone has additional support needs and that it is the positive meaningful
relationships we have with people who are important to us in life that help us to maintain a balance of
living and enjoying a good life. It is for this reason that Claire finds the principles at the heart
of Circles Around Dundee of friendship and inclusion so important and motivating to her working life
Claire
is always keen to access training to enable
her to constantly develop and improve
in her role as a facilitator. Claire is
fully committed to inclusion and the process
of person centred planning facilitating
the way for everyone to enjoy a good life.
Apart from being passionate
about her work the other things that help Claire have a good life are spending lots of time laughing
with her son, family and close circle of friends and dreaming of the day when her plans to travel
the world become a reality.
