Amy's Story

Amy was referred by her Mum, Karen, in March, 2007. Amy's parents had concerns that Amy's social skills were preventing her from making friendships. Amy had been diagnosed with ADD. A meeting was arranged with Amy, her Mum Karen, Dad Clark and Amy's brother, Amy was present throughout the meeting and was happy to be having a Circle of Friends at her new school, St. Luke's & St. Matthews in Dundee. The first circle took place in June, 2007 and the last circle meeting at St. Luke's & St. Matthews was in June 2008, as Amy and her friends are moving on to Secondary School in August, 2008.

Mum Karen has commented that since Amy's circle started in June last year, she has seen her daughter's life transformed, a change that her Mum describes as being like night and day.
