Gail has extensive experience of all aspects of office administration. She spent several years in a variety of civil
service departments starting in the Skillcentre in Staffa Place, Dundee, as typist/receptionist and finally as office
manager with the Industrial Tribunals Service in Albert Square, Dundee. She left the civil service in 1993.
After a couple of 'time out' years between 1993 and 1995 she returned to work for Sense Scotland when the charity opened a
house for 5 deaf/blind men in Temple Lane, Dundee. She set up office systems and assisted the manager with the practical
day to day running of the house.
Gail joined Circles Around Dundee in November 2005 after funding was secured to re-start the Dreamcatchers adult project and
quickly became an invaluable member of the team. She likes to display her artistic side through designing leaflets,
newsletters, annual reports etc., and designed the new logo, headed paper and compliment slips.
Gail
says that working for Circles Around Dundee
has given her a new appreciation of the
difficulties that face adults with learning
disabilities and, children and young people
with additional support needs, who find
it difficult to make friends in their
community, and who strive to have a more
fulfilled and happy life. She is delighted
to be part of such an important and much
needed project.
In
her spare time Gail likes socialising
with friends, watching television, going
to the cinema, and spending money!
