Circles Around Dundee Dreamtime Childrens and Young Peoples Project
Circles Around Dundee is an organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of children and young people with additional support needs and is an independent, local, registered scottish charity. Our Dreamtime Project works with children and young people 7-18 years old with addidtional support needs. Our aim is to build strong supportive natural networks that enable them to achieve their goals and plans in life as well as take their righfull place in the community. Our vision is that children and young people with additional support needs, who may be at risk of exclusion, social isolation and/or marginalisation, have equal oppertunitites to make friends, to access and enjoy facilities, and to be valued and respected as memebers of the community and society. Its objective is to improve and individual's quality of life by:
- Focusing on the individual's needs and developing person-centered planning
- Promoting social inclusion
- Supporting relationships/friendships and social oppertunities
- Adopting and promoting community development/capacity building
